Savawatt manufacture a range of Savacontrols units designed to reduce the electricity used by compressors in air-conditioning and refrigeration plant. DeVere contacted Savawatt to investigate the saving potential available from a SavaControl installation to refrigeration and air-conditioning plant in use by the Company. The installation of SavaControls took place, to show the savings two units were logged.A single phase SavaControl unit was installed on a typical kitchen walk-in freezer Hermetique compressor. A second, three phase SavaControl was installed to a Toshiba three phase split air-conditioning/heat pump condenser unit conditioning. The walk in freezers’ single phase Hermetique compressor is a typical catering installation, with consistent running to be expected in a busy kitchen. A saving of 22.9% is in line with SavaWatt’s survey calculation of a 20% saving expected from single phase equipment. The Toshiba clearly indicates the SavaControls worthwhile effect in reducing consumption. To account for the varying run times, heating and cooling modes, Savawatt’s calculation for three phase equipment of this size assumes a 15% on average reduction in consumption per annum, yet the spot reading on installation of 17.5%.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”1304″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” css_animation=”fadeInDown”][vc_empty_space height=”30px”][cq_vc_fluidbox fluidimage=”1306″][/cq_vc_fluidbox][/vc_column][/vc_row]]]>
